Plusieurs entre vous r\u00e9clament des nouvelles depuis mon envoi de dimanche matin. Eh bien, Yves en est \u00e0 sa huiti\u00e8me journ\u00e9e en mer, et outre un passage de mer cahoteuse avant-hier (je n\u2019ai pas la pleine histoire, mais j\u2019en d\u00e9duis par le peu qu\u2019il a \u00e9crit\u00a0apr\u00e8s coup<\/u>), il va bien. Tr\u00e8s bien m\u00eame. Assez bien pour verser en po\u00e9sie \u00e0 quelques reprises sur ses courriels par satellite. Le moral est bon, quoi!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
La journ\u00e9e d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui a \u00e9t\u00e9 pass\u00e9e sous\u00a0<\/span><\/span>spinnaker tri-radial (oui\u2026 au spi!!!!), puis g\u00e9noa, puis asym\u00e9trique, dans un temps\u00a0franchement estival (il \u00e9tait temps!). Il \u00e9crit ne pas comprendre que les poissons boudent ses leurres. Personnellement, aux environs de 9 noeuds, je comprends que les poissons n\u2019aient pas eu envie de courir apr\u00e8s. Peut-\u00eatre ne les ont ils m\u00eame pas vus!<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Par ailleurs, Yves a tr\u00e8s h\u00e2te de voir la lune, car les nuits ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s noires. Je la lui ai promis pour ce soir!<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Bref,\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0la jument sent l\u2019\u00e9curie\u00a0\u00bb comme le dirait Yves, car il ne lui restait, dans son dernier rapport de fin d\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi, que\u00a0quelques 450 milles nautiques \u00e0 franchir.<\/span><\/div>\n

Several of you have been asking for news of Yves since my message Sunday morning. He is wrapping up his 8th day at sea, and apart from a rough patch the day before yesterday (I don\u2019t have the full story, and can only deduce from the little he wrote\u00a0after<\/u>\u00a0the event), Yves\u00a0<\/span>is doing well. I could even say VERY well!<\/span>\u00a0Well enough to conjure up some poetry in his satellite messages! \u00a0Morale is high!<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Today was spent under tri-radial spinnaker (YES, spinnaker!!!), then genoa, then\u00a0asymmetrical spinnaker, in lovely summer weather (about time!). He states that he can\u2019t understand why the fish aren\u2019t biting. Personally, I think that with the boat flying at 9 knots, the fish couldn\u2019t be bothered going so fast. Maybe didn\u2019t even see the lures\u2026!<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Other than that, Yves is anxious to see the moon, as the nights have been very black. I’ve promised it to him for tonight!<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
As Yves says,\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0the horse is smelling the barn\u00a0\u00bb, as at last report late afternoon, he had less\u00a0than 450 nautical miles to go.<\/span><\/div>\n
